It is very exciting as the date drawing closer by the day. Some of the stars are truly outstanding. Let the best win!
Hope the panel of appointed academy award judges would seriously consider the value factor in deciding the winners. No doubt all are experienced in their respective career / business. We have too much of confused moral values in movies. Actors, directors, producers, etc who make a mark of difference would be those NOT only display skills but also able to carry a moral value message across to audience. Without any fear or favour, Mickey Rourke (for example) immediately stands out as a great actor. In addition to his most memorable skills in acting, he is able to convey the aging and struggling father's heart in his most difficult career. Yes, its hard to see the most ideal situation where we have everything good in life, but the movie and the actor, director etc able to convey a heart-felt parent-child relationship in a challenging situation.
That's the last and final, deciding factor that sets itself apart from the rest.
Transformers 2 is simply a fantastic movie. The special effects deserve recognition at the oscars.
